Coffee Talk: New Years Resolutions

I'm starting something new on my blog! I'm calling it Coffee Talks!! Here I'll talk about any hot topic; whether it's pop culture, fashion, my personal life, really anything.
So grab a big cup of coffee/tea and let's get into it!
Today's topic is New Years Resolutions. For me, sticking to new years resolutions isn't so easy. Normally, I'll get really into it for like a month and then give up or I just don't even bother making one (oops!). But this year, I really want to try my hardest to stick to it! With that being said, this year I plan on getting healthy. Making healthier choices, eating healthy, exercising, and drinking more water! I've stocked up on some cute workout gear to keep me motivated! The reason for all this is because this summer my family and I are traveling to Aruba for my grandparents 50th Anniversary and I wanna look great and feel confident. My goal is to get more toned and fit. I'm not really big on exercising or working out so its going to be tough for me to keep it up. But my plan is to stick to Zumba classes and the treadmill while eating healthy, but also not depriving myself from things I like. I'm a firm believer in treating yourself every once in a while.
It's hard to change your ways sometimes. Especially when you are used to doing something a certain way your whole life. But by surrounding yourself with positivity, it will help to stay motivated. You'll be rewarded with the end result. For me, I always dread running on the treadmill or having the energy to take a Zumba class, but once I've finished my workout I always feel refreshed and energized. I tend to get really sluggish and tired as the week goes on, so I am hoping that working out will help to minimize my lack of energy. After a long day of classes all I want to do is cuddle up in a nice warm blanket and watch tv, especially in the winter. Working out during the wintertime is a struggle but I have to push through it, and it helps that Zumba is so much fun.
My advice, pick a workout or workout class that is super fun, that way you won't feel like you are working out and it will go by much faster. And also, ease yourself into it. Don't throw yourself into an hour long treadmill session, instead take 30 minutes out of your day to power walk or lift weights. Your body will thank you the next day. And feeling sore is a reward and a hurter. Yes, you'll have a little bit harder of a time walking up the stairs but that soreness is the product of your hard work. So go out, buy yourself some cute workout clothes and get fit!
Getting healthy is probably the most popular new years resolution. But whatever your new years resolution is make it a great one and do your best to accomplish them!
